IWC Aquatimer Cousteau Limited Wooden Back

Presenting the IWC Cousteau Limited Edition Watch in Steel. This is by far the best of the Cousteau Models. It has a piece of wood in the casebook from the Calypso and is one of the only 44mm case aqua timers in the original case design making it very sought after as this design has always been regarded as one of their best over the years. This watch is in excellent condition overall with light signs of previous use. "OUR WATCHMAKER DID NOT REFINISH THIS WATCH TO PRESERVE THE ORIGINAL EDGES AS THE BRUSHING IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLICATE". This is an amazing example due to the fact that it has the original box (it is a little sticky but not too bad, original warranty card and strap changing tools). We did buy a brand new IWC strap from IWC but overall the watch is in amazing condition. There is wear but it is not too bad given it's age. There are those near impossible to photograph "swirlies" in the AR coating on the crystal however the crystal is perfect underneath. The watch is functioning as it should and all serial numbers are in tact. This highly sought after and collectible watch is being offered for a very fair price for what it is. If you are looking for a great example that we did not mess with (refinish), then this is your watch. Own this very sought after watch for an incredible price and enjoy a piece of history as well as there was only so much of Cousteaus boat that was allotted for this project. The watch is also keeping time within COSC specs on our timing machine and all functions as they should. We will always consider buying your watch to help offset the purchase of ours.
